Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard and Irene McCormick. She was the home of her mother and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing from a young age, and would often perform puppet shows in front of the kids in her community. When McCormick was six years young, she took home her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked if she'd like to go into the show business. McCormick was hired to star in her first big performance in 1964 on the tv spot for Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she starred in another commercial that aired on TV for Chatty-Cathy's doll. The following year, McCormick was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the character Wind It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1200 auditioning children to play the older of three two-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. She was just 16 when she was in the scene; he was 19. The incident could have occurred, she stated, but the time wasn't the right time for us.
